WHAT IS BELKYRA?
Manufacturer: Allergan, Ireland.
Form of release: 4x2ml (10 mg/ml solution).
Belkyra is the first and only certified drug – lipolytic for the “correction” of the so-called double chin. It explains the Belkyra price – around $1000-1300 per package. Clinical studies have confirmed visible results after 2-4 sessions. After injections in the subcutaneous fat layers, decay and destruction of fat cells occur. In the future, new fat cells do not form, i.e. no accumulation of fat occurs in the treated area. The aesthetic effect of treatment should be permanent.
Previously, there were available remedies just for local liposuction of the body. Allergan developed the first drug of its kind to destroy the excessive fat deposits on the face.
The composition of the drug is comprised of synthetic deoxycholic acid, which is very close to the one naturally found in the skin tissues of the face.
Areas of application:
Description of the procedure:
- Applying anesthetic cream or injecting local anesthesia,
- Marking at the place of the procedure,
- Belkyra injection,
- Immediately after the procedure, a cooling compress is applied to the treated area.
Most patients observed visible results after 2-4 sessions. The interval between sessions was 1 month.
The patients report a decrease of the fat layer on the chin and neck, defining of the face and chin contour. The fat does not renew with the time, preserving clear and beautiful outlines of the face for a long time. Although Belkyra costs around $1000 for Belkyra (Kybella) Bulgarian and $1290 Belkyra (Kybella) Italian, the price is justified as the patient will receive a long-lasting effect without a necessity to repeat the procedure once the course of injections is completed unlike in the case with dermal fillers.
- Non-surgical liposuction of the chin,
- Fast visible results,
- Fast recovery,
- Constant effect.
